Why Bamboo Linen

Moisture Absorbant

Due to the absorbency of bamboo viscose, the fabric wicks sweat from your body, keeping you dry and comfortable throughout the hottest night.  The cross-section of the bamboo fibre is filled with various micro-gaps and micro-holes, giving much better hygroscopicity (moisture absorption), permeability (ventilation) and extraordinary soil release.

Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and resists mould, mildew, fungi and other bacteria. Reports from Japan and China on Bamboo 'kun', suggest that elements of these properties are retained in the finished products.  What we know for sure is that the moisture wicking properties provide a drier environment inhibiting the growth of bacteria and repelling dust mites. The Bamboo fibre is long and incredibly smooth with no sharp spurs, making it hypoallergenic and a perfect choice for those with sensitive skin, or conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Thermal Regulating

Like a few other superior yarns on the market, bamboo insulates according to temperature, thus keeping you warm in Winter and cool in Summer.

Environmental Benefits

The bamboo plant is sustainable and grown without the need for any chemicals or pesticides, making it naturally organic.  All 100 Bamboo products are tested for harmful chemicals and OEKO TEX certified.

Bamboo fabrics can be dyed easily with minimal water requirements. Fabrics that don’t dye easily are often treated with harsh chemicals and much more water, so an organic plant which is made into a fabric that dyes easily is generally better for the environment.

Bamboo products are 100% biodegradable, so you know your old bamboo linens aren’t going to end up in a landfill for hundreds of years.

Easy Care

Not only does bamboo fabric require less frequent washing, it needs no more than a 30˚C wash and dries quickly. Tumble drying and ironing are unnecessary. See Care Instructions

Bamboo is more flexible than cotton, offering superior durability, even after many washes.

Softer than cotton, with a texture similar to a blend of cashmere and silk.  The lustrous sheen and beautiful drape, make bamboo linens look and feel very luxurious.
